In the magazine titled, Rowing, the cover uses simple yet bold colors. The title is orange to catch the readers eye so if they were in a grocery store and saw that, you would want to pick it up. The cover is always what drives people in so using orange, one of the most eye catching colors, to drive you in. The font is slanted to represent sports logos, such as the Nike symbol, and be inviting to people who enjoy sports. The ads featured in the article are strictly related to rowing. The actual articles themselves do not appear until the middle of the magazine. They most likely do this to keep the reader flipping the pages and looking at those ads and thinking, "Wow! I want that." The ads are strictly rowing because the magazine itself is about rowing, so most likely rowers would read it and buy those things. The photos that appear in the articles are rowers while in a race, or after they have won. There is no table of contents to refer to in this particular magazine. There is no evidence to show this magazine has been nominated or won any awards, as the title is so broad. The distribution number is 80,000 members of the U.S. Rowing Memberships.
